Commuter 2.1
by ben sharpe
Tired of going to the Time Zones app on your Newton when you commute
bewteen two different area codes?
Tired of not seeing your home town represented in your Newton?
Tired of Newton not knowing your area code?
Then Commuter 2.1 is for you.
Commuter 2.1 not only allows you to quickly change your location in
the world clock (Time Zones) application, but you can also add your
own cities to Commuter. Although these cities will not show up in
the Time Zones app, they will be used by the Dialing Assistant to
figure out whether or not to dial long distance.
The only limits to the number of cities you can add are screen space and
memory size.
Commuter 2.1 also uses Newton's Intelligent Assistant.
If you write "Commute to San Francisco," select it and Tap Assist then
Commuter 2.1 will change your location to San Francisco.
Other phrases you can use are: "be in", "in", "Commute", "Commute to"
and "Location"
If you write "Where", "in" or "location" and tap Assist, Commuter will
tell you where your Newton thinks you are.
Commuter is shareware. If you like and use it, please register your
copy by sending $7.95 (check or money order) along with
questions, comments and/or fan mail to:
